Digital Formative Assessments

A digital formative assessment is a way for teachers to assess student progress using an online tool. They use this information in order to drive their instruction.

1. Kahoot!

Kahoot! is an online tool used to administer quizzes and surveys. It is a game based classroom response system played by the whole class at the same time. The questions are projected don the smart board or screen for the class to see and the students answer independently on their on smart phone, tablet, or other device in the deviated amount of time.

2. Animoto

Animoto is an online tool used for students to create videos to inform their teachers of what they know and do not know about a learned concept. Students can insert images, video clips, sounds, animations, and effects in order to make their video creative and unique. Animoto is a way for students to use digital storytelling, except instead of them telling a personal story, they tell a story about a concept they learned in school.
